Any word on openers for the tour?
Well - is there? Anything floating around that anybody has heard? Or - no opener and Sisters just play longer? I actually didn't mind Warlocks last time around but I wouldn't complain if they were going it alone this tour.

Not keen on openers so I would prefer the Girls playing longer.Nicole wrote:Well - is there? Anything floating around that anybody has heard? Or - no opener and Sisters just play longer? I actually didn't mind Warlocks last time around but I wouldn't complain if they were going it alone this tour.
On the other hand I wouldn't mind watching the bands of der Izzmeister and den Raf as openers.

Yeah I know but one can always use the "search" or "just ask" options.Bartek wrote:don't know why i presume that she (?) might not know what you're talking about.

Edit: Inspection of the Town Ballroom, Buffalo site it would appear most bands listed have support mentioned. The Sisters Of Mercy do not however.
What that means is anybodys guess.

I'd really love it if they'd bring the March Violets along - did they ever even tour the US? And wasn't one of them Nurse to the good Doktor last tour anyways? I heard all about the one off reunion show but coming from the midwest US to Leeds really wasn't possible.

Ah, just looked at the House of Blues site - says "The Sisters of Mercy w/DJ Scary Lady Sarah" Sweet, I'll take a DJ spinning dodgy old goth over a dodgy new goth band any day.

Looks to me as if it's catch-as-catch-can. Here in Seattle, it's locals: Romance (not, egads, the one from Leeds ).
Not surprisingly, rather TSOM/Bauhaus/Joy Division-influenced, but also with overtones of Interpol and Franz Ferdinand. Guaranteed painless, and probably brilliant

Thirded!
By the time the main act starts playing, you've had so many beers that you need to go to the loo and miss the first 3 songs.

Not quite all of it - there are a number of dates missing. The entire Northwest leg of the tour, among others.TheBoyNextDoor wrote:Seems like Hypernove will support them on the whole US tour. http://www.myspace.com/hypernovamusic

And then: That band doesn't sound that bad. They might be real fun when on stage. Especially when they are covered in tomatoes and extra cheese.
