The Lost Patrol - New York - 6th Sept 08

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I'll definitely have to get down there (someday...) to see that exhibit. I *heart* Alexander McQueen! :notworthy:
No time like the present, young Sinistrist.

See my previous post, re: CPR training all day Saturday. :P
I've only got one day off this week (Sunday), and I spent my sad little "fun money" allotment on this past weekend's travel and food. No can do, I'm afraid. :(
I left my heart in Ballycastle...

We'll be sure to send you some inebriated texts - it will almost be as good as having you there...but not quite

Thanks EvilB! Glad you enjoyed! Sorry, I didn't say a proper goodbye to all of you. I was helping the band load-out and the gestapo security were being pricks every time we attempted to re-enter the building. That, and we were all fighting off some kind of cold. I'm still under the weather.

Cool that you picked up on the Shadows guitar sound. Steve really loves Hank Marvin's guitar work.

Mollie sang that show virtually dry (hardly any reverb), just a little cheesey echo. Next time we play NYC, we'll be sure to play a venue with a better soundsystem. New CD should be early October. We played the Annex a few weeks ago, and it sounded FANTASTIC!

Thanks again to all who have listened and showed some support!

yes... I appreciate the warm reception from everyone! I'll be around a lot more often. I'm going to dig out some old Sisters vinyl and reconnect. I've been out of the loop.

That's HL for you! Good to read you'll be around more often. :notworthy:
To get you back into the loop I'd suggest you have a listen to YCBTO! :D ;D
