I have a copy of a2nd gen audience tape of the Vikateater,Oslo 16.5.85 show. (the sound is OK, not great...)
Sadly it`s incomplete, just one side a 90min. It cuts after floorshow.
I`m not really sure if this actually is the real thing, as i don`t have the swedish shows (15th & 17th). (audience chatter is in norwegian i guess it`s the real deal.)
I`ve also been told that Harald A. Lund, from NRK radio had a deal with the band to record & transmit parts of the show. Just minutes before they got on stage, Andrew "changed his mind". No recording allowed.
17th may is the national-day here in Norway & traditionally on the 16th youngsters drinks themselves totally wasted. This reflects on the atmosphere on this recording.
I`ll gladly share if someone want a copy.
The "long lost" gig at Vikateater Oslo 16.5.85
Jupp.
Someone once told me that Andrew promised never to play/or visit Norway again. Not strange when people are heavy wasted & shout "go home!!" during the whole concert.
This is a copy of the mastertape. (42mins incomplete)
Tracklist :
Audience chatter/waiting for the sisters to arrive (3:02)
First & last & always
Body & soul
Marian
No time to cry
Possession
Walk away
Emma
Logic
Rock & a hard place
Floorshow (incomplete)

Anyway, they were very close to play there again in april 2006, but there wasn't enough time on their tour schedule...apparently.
Maybe now in march/april then, wouldn't be surprised.
Isn't this thread for Sisters chat, by the way?
this is what christer (sisterstrading.com) wrote to me about that recording 5 years ago or so:
so it may be real! grat news!May 16 1985, Oslo (a recording does exist, but noone seems to have it, and the master tape has been destroyed)

Hey tripleson,
What a great find!
If you'd like to send me the tape I'll happily copy it onto the computer, clean up and remaster it and put it up for weeding.
Sounds like a plan?

Is this the place I used to know as Fatherland?
Wow!
This thread has crashed my PM box completely. Since so many people really want a copy of this one I think the best thing is to put it up as a weed. My copy is on CDr , not a good transfer.
I hope this is ok for everbody?
I can pick up the original tape next time i`m in Oslo (28 november) If someone want to make a better transfer. (This is the only known copy of the concert that is known to still be around. Discovered by pure "accident")
Please let know how this weeds thing works

Oh wow! I've been waiting for this to surface for sooo long. The Norwegian music mag Puls (or was it renamed Beat by then?) reviewed the concert, but I can't remember what they said. Probably hated it. Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing this with us Tripleson. Well done!

Holy mother of Von! I'm from Norway and would love to hear this one. Any chance of a Rapidshare upload?
