A Peculliar Cover

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

To me it occasionally sounds like they should have called their cover "Bluergh", as the singer pronounces "more" rather like that.
And I bet the guitarists can do better than that as well.
Overall, I find this is a pretty weak version.

That singer is hilariously angry. "One think I know...."

Yes. in the worst way imaginable. Love the avatar, by the way: he's one of the last living heroes of rock and roll.

I really don't like metal. More and more, everything about metalhead culture fills me with a brooding bitterness. Just look at them.

As do you. I went to see him in Dallas some years ago, and was treated to a reduced-price set from the Popes. It seems that they had opted to drive to the gig from San Francisco, while Shane stayed in San Fran with his babysitter. I was told all of this by their merch guy. The problem, it seems, is that the babysitter also needs a babysitter, and neither one of them was allowed onto the flight to Dallas. They were both too drunk. He never showed, but the Popes played a great set.
