Is this what you've been reduced to? Hawking for Sainsbury's on message boards? Good lord Major...how the mighty have fallen!

Anyone want a bit of inside info on upcoming Costcutter special offers? I'm chasing a promotion...
Go to sleep now, Francis.
i like the pound shop. you know where you are with a pound shop. everything's a pound.
i quite like home bargains on the moor in sheffield too. where you can buy strange foreign blue sugar-filled drinks and german chocolate for silly prices (faux coca-cola 19p a 2L bottle - baragin!)

Hmm. I like the way at my local Waitrose they have well-spoken 50+ ladies offering trays of wine samples in the wine section. Most are real chatterboxes and you can have quite a nice afternoon with them for free. This avoids the embarrasment of continuously going back for a top up.
However, I regret to inform you that Waitrose have no special offers - just higher prices - and we're tightening our belts over at de coverly towers at the moment, following the porker popping a cylinder, Ms de C insisting on the bathroom being re-done, and a couple of weeks of very elegant, but also rather expensive, aerobatics conspired together to make the bank account look marginally less bouyant than the titanic.

I did wonder what happened to Jamie Oliver, now I know, he's trolling websites trying to get us to subsidise his pay packet.
Must admit tho' Lidl is very good for cheap (and strangely named)chocolate too.

I suppose it would go against the spirit of this thread to mention M&S Food Hall?
<currently consuming> an M&S King Prawn Makhani and side order of Onion Bajis with a Chapati or 2 from the Mrs. Unis range which is available at any Spar North of the Border.
sorry
