give us what we want

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I'm pretty sure "us real fans" can spell all of their names correctly.

It's Aldridge.

A reunion tour would be so goddam sad.

Reading your reply to QB: That's even sadder. And mind your manners, buck-o. He has strange and eldritch powers.

didn't take long...

How about Eldritch/Marx/Gunn/Adams/Avalanche, anyone? Forget Wayne, he wrote a few decent songs and played guitar well enough, but he wasn't really a Sister, if you know what I mean. Although the current line-up seems close enough too... :D
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Dammit! I was going to say tha, read the thread too late.
Well, LT: As said many time in this forum too boring for you to stay at, the band moved on. As did the rest of the world.
Farewell!
So after quiting, enjoy some aged stars impersonating their past self while we enjoy the still living and pulsating machine that's The Sisters of Mercy.

For what it's worth, now Hussey has a bit more free time on his hands I think it would be a great idea. From interviews I've head I know both Huss and Eldo are well over any grevience. I doubt it'll ever happen, but to see the Sisters with the mighty hussmonster on lead guitar would please me to my very core.

I don't think it would be sad either to be honest, I think it would be awesome.

Good idea.

If I were going to buy into a nostalgia tour that would be the line up.

Ultimately, I'm not that fussed.
I'd be more than happy with a full time bass player added to the current line up.

Nothing wrong with your maths, but the assumption that anyone would want to relive their teenage memories is fundamentally flawed. If I went to see today half the bands I enjoyed when I was a yoof I'd probably complain that they were too loud, that the line for the bar was too long, the beer was too expensive, and there was nowhere to have a smoke. Disposable income has little if anything to do with your enjoyment of a band - I had buggerallmoney when I started going to see Hawkwind, and had a great time. Now I have more in the way of income, but they sound just the same. Not sure what point you're making here.

He got it right though - it was the best line up by far if you add Craig Adams. Happy days. :von: :D
