R.I.P indeed.
I was only watching The Clangers with the wee man the other day.

Hear hear. Formative memories and cultural touchstones. Only the other day I was in a meeting with some heavyweight clients, one of whom was English and about my age (or maybe a little older). He mentioned that a mistake had been made, "someone dropped a clanger" - under my breath I said "Oh dear, blue string pudding everywhere, eh?" Instant connection - spent the next 5 minutes reminiscing about marvellous mechanical mouse organs (and Morph).Ramone wrote:"Even Bagpuss himself, once he was asleep, was just an old, saggy cloth cat,

While the man himself is gone, his creations will live forever - surely no greater basis for immortality.

Um, Evil, you do know that Morph wasn't anything to do with Oliver Postgate, don't you?
Anyway, I'll add my condolences to all of our childhoods. A great loss to the industry. Hopefully there'll be an honorary BAFTA or something next year.

Any more of that and we'll be round your front door with the quick-setting whitewash and the shaved monkey.

Yep, but Morph is up there in the pantheon of childhood memories shared by British people everywhere.stufarq wrote:Um, Evil, you do know that Morph wasn't anything to do with Oliver Postgate, don't you?
