Eureka Machines news

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

as tight as hell, and with all the energy and stage presence you will recognise from chris' sisters on-stage antics.

they rocked like a motherf**ker :D

oh yeah, and chris sings.

quite well actually.

and he also chats between songs.

so remind me again, why is he in the sisters?

Sounds like it might be worth going anyway then, rocking like motherf**ckers is always a plus. 8)

Bloody hell Rocket From The Crypt, that takes me back. Wildhearts aren't my thing but I've seen them live &, well, pretty much anything live is great innit. :D

its very good, but tbh it doesn't to them justice. you don't get all the visual stuff like with their live show - the energy, the RAWK, the witty banter, the mock-drama.

for example: http://www.eurekamachines.com/video.htm

we likes 'em

mrs qb reckons chris is wasted in the sisters and that in some parallel universe EM are the biggest band in the world.

i might have to agree  ;D

1. LIVE IN SESSION

This coming Sunday, the 5th of October, the band will be performing 3 songs
live in session on the BBC local radio stations across the north of England.
This, as well as an interview, is being done for the terminally ace RAW
TALENT INTRODUCING show, hosted by Alan Raw.

You can listen to Raw Talent Introducing live between 20:00 - 22:00 on
95.9fm BBC Radio Humberside and on BBC Radio Leeds DAB. We should be on
playing a selection of tunes from the album 'Do or Die' about halfway into
the programme. Everyone else around the planet can hear the show live online
at www.bbc.co.uk/rawtalent

Those of you who miss the show, do not fear - you should be able to listen
again for the following week or so via that link above.

It's not Gay J you've got to worry about it's Trina. If you go tell J "Dave & Heather send their love".

Popped into Preston to see them on Saturday and spot on as usual.
Energy levels through the roof at the moment.

Was a little suprised though when one of the earlier (read not 'main') support bands set up and a certain Saint Ben of Soho appeared on stage too with Night After Night !!!
Now THAT wasn't advertised anywhere.

Top Night Out :)

Subject: Become our 'Facebook Fan'

Sorry to anyone who gets this message twice, despite what I said in the other one about the fact that we don't like it when we get too many messages off bands anyway... I aren't sure if this'll get duplicated as I am a total computer retard.

CLICK DOWN THERE to become a fan of our band... well, if you're in this group, you're probably already a fan, but this makes it official and means you get to see a page with even less information than our My Space page. But it spreads the word about us being cool and hip and various other words you haven't heard since 1993. This is the one:

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Eureka-Ma ... 489?ref=ts

We can keep in touch about gigs and such on there. Hooray.

While we're at it, tickets for our Leeds gig (Fri Feb 13th) are now available here...

http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http:// ... nt%2F43257

They're going weirdly quite quickly so get your hands on them sharpish.

The full line-up is:

Eureka Machines (us)
Grannys4Skin (magic and hilarious indie rock from Dodge and Scannell)
Normal Man (inspired electro punk from Noah Yes Boss and Benbow)
Paul Morricone (rare acoustic set from Scaramanga Six/Being 747 chap)

Have a top weekend! We're playing Worcester tonight, Oxford tomorrow and Harrogate on Sunday if you fancy any of them.

Chris.
