The Rhombus Christmas Gig - 23/12/2008 + Exclusive Covers CD

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

People often ask us why we've haven't recorded or released any of the cover versions that appear in our set. Simple really, Rob's too tight to pay the PRS.

At our Christmas gig last year, I was having this discussion with Andy (Rhombus Regular), and he gave me an idea which we're going to use for this years Christmas gig.

We're currently recording the best of our cover versions, they will then be released on a CD which will be given away free at this years Christmas gig. We're going to press fifty CDs, which will be individually numbered and when they're gone, they're gone. With the exception of one track (which is out of copyright) they will not be made available in any other format, sold in our shop or otherwise made commercially available.

The Christmas gig is Rhombus, Abigail's Mercy and Resist, at the Limelight which is one of the best venues in the country. It's free in and you can get your hands on a one off CD, gratis.

I'd love to go to the gig and get a copy of the CD but Crewe appears to be unreachable, even for the great touring machine that is ZOMBIE :(

I know a load of people are staying over at the Crewe Travel Inn/Lodge thingy-ma-gig

As few business people and navvys are staying on the 23rd the rooms are very cheap.
