Songs the Sisters never play live

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I was mulling the other day that I don't think I've ever heard "Black Planet" live - has it ever been performed?

Any other songs never performed?

Because we all know that the perfection of the studio version just cannot be surpassed. ;D
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Is that meant to be the number of times each song has been played live? Cos it says 0 for Dominion & Mother Russia...

That site's pretty moribund - last tour they listed was Smoke & Mirrors...

Funny you ask that. We're learning Black Planet for our set-list and I realized I've never heard it live before. Searched through all the boots I have and no go.

afterhours. not the DAT intro, but the actual song. and 1959. those i'd like to have heard when the geezers voice was at it's peak.

phantom would have been a good intro tape as would untitled (the most haunting piece of instrumental-music ever IMHO. :von: )
Well I was handsome and I was strong

A small piece of Phantom is part of Floorshow during (some) USA gigs.

I would love to hear Home Of The Hitmen as a first song. Seriously! :D

don't know about home of the hitmen (and the damage done is a no-no) but watch is a great song -especially live when eldritch sang it. there 's a place for watch, wide receiver and good things (sans synths) IMO. but that's a different thread, a different wishlist.... but to save me going to post on that as well i think teachers/adrenochrome as god intended it should be the first number. :von:

Actually, Lee-You're right on target. Phantom as opener. Not from tape, but played. Gently raising the blast of the bow into the show. That's the plan! :notworthy:
