crowd was very funcky upfront.. and Von got loads of energy out of it..
Ben and Chris ricked as usual..
highlights:
Good Things: very clean version which had a very weird break in the middle.. i was already stating to think they were doing it in medley with a new song..
floorshow: where Von didn't even wait for the Phantom intro to start singing, and so did a lot more lyricks than during the US dates
Flood I: as always, Ben's guitar works..
Marian: just very nice to finally hear it
Logic: very clean version..
in between Corrosion and Neverland: von saying in the likes of "thank you for singing the last one, i will sing you the next one"
best highligh.. Von in general.. he was realy enjoying himself, getting so much kick out of the crowd..
class A sisters AB gig.. a top night out

A little concerned with the setlist but the gig itself sounded like a good one....Leeds is just around the corner.

So who's holding the gun to your head forcing you to listen?throughthecables wrote: reason: this setlist is boring... always the same s**t...sorry, i really like the new stuff etc., but it is just boring, when there's always the same setlist...for years...ok some changes go on tour with motorhead, eldo - they also became boring of the same reason...
it really pisses me off! Why does such a genius like Von wastes his time with such a crap...
make a new LP or stop s**t like this....

So did he just finally remember them all, or was his voice rested enough that he could handle the entire song? Either way, I'm jealous...Ghostrider wrote:floorshow: where Von didn't even wait for the Phantom intro to start singing, and so did a lot more lyricks than during the US dates
Exceptionally good to hear - but also not unexpected from the ever-faithful Belgians...And also wrote:best highligh.. Von in general.. he was realy enjoying himself, getting so much kick out of the crowd..

eurh.. setlist seems boring because it's incomplete..and in wrong order..
but just to reasure you.. when the band kicks ass and is in the groove as tonight, even a "boring setlist"can be turned into a great gig
ps: tour is called "Mechanised Europe", which is nicely indicated on the tourshirt..
also for the very first time i saw 4 same shirts, with head logo on front, but in 4 versions with lyricks from either: Summer, C&B, Lucretia, Temple

Just back from gig & post drinks ... too short 22;15 the gig was done. Missed a lot of songs like giving ground, slept, I was wrong ... Was an enjoyable evening, but too much autopilot. New shirts hold the crappy new logo, caps with only sisters on them are so gay & do not get me started on the soccer scarfs ...

just got home... have to get up in a few hours, so I'll keep it short
First gig of the Euro tour and it started pretty nice!
Sound was very good: unbelievably clear with Eldritch vocal coming through like it should. Guitars could have been louder, but hey they rocked!
The perfect amount of smoke too: a foggy atmosphere, but the boys were never clouded except for nursey. I didn't even see Eldritch smoke his ciggies. He did seem to enjoy himself and had all the moves going and then some!
They do needed the first half of the gig to get 'in there', but from Floorshow on it rocked like you'd expect a groove machine to rock.
Personally it was a blissfull experience to hear quite a few of the oldies: Good Things, Marian, Amphetamine Logic and the usual suspects like Alice, Anaconda & Temple. Dominion was the archetypical Sisters choon and Corrosion the singalong thing. The slightly expanded Good things was brilliant once again, but not the glorious surprise it was at the Sugar Thing...
Food for body & soul
Heartland peepz, I love you each & every time
A fine start and it can only get higher in near future!

And 2009 is off and running! Sounds like a great gig - Floorshow and Good Things, very nice! I haven't had time to read much HL lately but I'll definitely be around to keep up with the tour!
...with the wind in our face and our arms open wide...
Gig 1 ok. Now they have to Rock Amsterdam! As long as good things and floorshow are still there I'm happy!

So I missed floorshow as a 'new' song.
That's rather good odds.
