new song Arms

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

thoughts,...?
Hmmm...the chorus is cool, the riff is boring. Sounds like a B-side to me (but YCBTO is a B-side too  ). Whatever: no record, no B-sides...

Does he sing "Don't need no arms around me?" - pretty weak lyrics, isn't it?
"Don't need no drugs to calm me"? :von:

I was thinking the same.
When you think about arms as weapons, it's a political song.

On second thought (and clearer listen) the chorus sounds like "Come feel your arms around me" as opposed to "Don't need no arms around me".

I made a 192 kbps mp3. How can I share it? (I don't have a Megaupload-account or anything)
There have been better plans

The vid has recorded by my dad, he was upstairs, i was in front. I'm not the biggest fan from sisters and i dont now at this time that this is a new song, but THIS one was the best on the concert, because i love realy rock (last concert rise against) and this has rocked!
I'm very happy about that we recorded it.

And sorry for my f**king bad english, i'm a german!
Hope you have fun! :)

PS: i have uploaded a video file like 45 mb, the original is 300 mb, because i have a slow connection.

War of the sexes and clash of arms? Classic Sisters. Looking forward to hearing it in London.

And it does sound like Flood II. As does Romeo Down. But then again it sounds like War On Drugs. And Fade To Grey... But that's nothing new. Dominion never sounds the same once you remember "The Big Sky" by Kate Bush. :von:

that was my first thought  arms = weapons.

I don't know on the whole, it has potential but it misses something, the docter could be more prominent ...? and I like the fact you can hear the influence of the 'young' guys, this is a guitar song! :D
But, I wouldn't like it if this is the direction TSOM are going too :?

Thanks a lot for this! I noticed you uploaded several songs from the concert on youtube, did your dad film the entire show? And would you be able to make a DVD of the material you have, and maybe upload it to a torrent tracker? That would be awesome! :D

Fairly heavy. But I like it, sounds very promising.

You all need to go here. Lyrics v.11 currently available! Plus rampant speculation!
