OK, megabus.com are now taking bookings for the 9th April. They have 2 coaches running from Leeds - London. The first a bit too early, the second a bit too late for my liking. And as the £1 fares are nowhere to be seen, I'm assuming they were snaffled while I was away and unable to check their site :lol: Still, £4 isn't bad either. nationalexpress.com are offering a £5 funfare and are running far more coaches, so I've gone for their 12pm one.

I notice the Travelodge in Vicar Lane is still quite cheap - £32 for a double/twin room. And they don't kick you out till 12pm so time to recover from the hangover before the 4 1/2 hour coach journey!

I'm in the Leeds Central. A couple of quid cheaper. Even plus the credit card "fee" and insurance it's only £31.50 all in. (Mind you, that might be for a single room - can't remember if there was an option. if there are actually two of you than this info may not help.)

Hmmm - decision time. Bollock early flight to Leeds (arrive 10:30 AM, meaning a 6:00 AM wake up :eek: ) or sensible-time flight to elsewhere and train/bus/whatever from there. :?:

Travelodge seem to charge a flat rate for the room, so it can work out very cheap for 2 or even 3 people sharing (although I have a double bed to myself this time). I booked Vicar Lane a few weeks ago, and it was £29 then. It has a good reputation, so I'm surprised it's only gone up 3 quid.

I dunno, AdrenochromeNZ, you may travel further, but I'm considering going with my one year old because he is too little to leave behind - in California. :)

And I'm just leaving my 3 year old and 8 month old at home. Don't think they'd really get into it. :lol:

Ticket arrived today. Already booked Travel Lodge and got train tickets (sensible time going but horrible 7am train coming back).

I just about get time to have a shower on my return home before I'm off to the Ultravox reunion.
Any more of that and we'll be round your front door with the quick-setting whitewash and the shaved monkey.

Me and my gf took the final decision yesterday to in fact go to Leeds. Always wanted to see them there as well, although I'm a bit worried if the voice will last after some 30 consecutive dates.
