This article is pure bs, but that's quite obvious

However, I didn't know the White Lies before and their song (or part of it) strongly reminds me of Joy Division (somehow a mixture of She's lost control and Love will tear us apart). I will check out the White Lies (if they have released any album yet), so at least one positive thing

It was me. I remember making a posting on another music forum about 2005 called "Oh NME where did it all go wrong?" after idly browsing a copy of the mag. like a music version of Heat for those with candyfloss for frontal lobes.

Then I remembered that post-80s goth is actually legitimately s**t, and went off to listen to the true successors, which included Tindersticks, Portishead, and even some Pulp. Gulp.

Mini PiB generally sneers at post 80â€™s goth, but tracks that get her attention include:

Orbital ~ Satan
Sneaker Pimps ~ Long hard road out of hell
Moby ~ New dawn fades (which she asserts is better than the original)
Girls Aloud ~ sound of the underground
Sugababes~ ugly

But then, mini PiB is probably an EMO

For me: little mention, if any, of the Furs, or JAMC [Darklands period?]
