Just got back from Madrid and i had a great time. IMHO it was not all that bad.

Noticed that. The lighting makes it a real challenge, but there's also a point early on (sorry, didn't note the exact time) where a cigarette seems to be visible in his (left) hand. I wouldn't swear a binding oath or anything, but it sure looks like it to me...

Well I had a different perspective than usual of this show, as I ended up on the balcony when we couldn't get to the front (due to venue staff failing to open the ticket box on time). On the upside, I didn't have to deal with the crap from arseholes in the mosh pit but I could see them from above. And sitting next to me on pouffes was a couple who must have been about 70! Apparently they had been to one of the other gigs too. The support (who I haven't seen before but quite like) didn't sound very clear but I wasn't so aware of sound problems with the Sisters. But I did get the impression they were rushing the set, particulary the encores, and were not in good form. Still, it was nice to see the light show from afar and I loved the (sorry little) tunnel effect it had during Ribbons.

So not one of their best gigs but for me one of the strangest. As for Madrid itself, I had a very pleasant afternoon wandering round the old town and found an O'Neill's where I had some Magners before heading for the airport.

I was there, too, and enjoyed the show. Definitely not their best, but I had a good time...

The sound was low, but all right from where I was standing.
Worst things, the guy taaaaalking all the time behind me. At one point during top nite out he commented something like where the hell is the singer?, and that was just too much, and I had to "nicely" tell him that there are no lyrics to the song, so Andrew was taking a rest as he should be! (BTW, he was standing to the left of the stage, arms crossed, and not looking pleased at all...)
And yes, the beer was 12 euros for a liter, which is outright robbery.
And the best part... It seemed to me that they took their time getting into gear, but from FLA onwards, I loved the gig!

Sorry I couldn't catch up with anybody, tried with Diego but he ran away after the gig

Venga, animo! Espero que lo consigamos alguna otra vez...

And off to Lisbon, will I see anybody there?

Again, i had a top night out and was happy about the concert. The people who were standing around me were nice and happy. I thought over all the atmosphere was good. Just the moshpit was a bit lame.
The sound was ok, not great but ok - i' ve seen some gigs where the sound was much worse. After all i liked the gig and am looking forward for ZÃ¼rich.

the gigs i attended in 1998 and 2001 in vienna were really really bad in terms of sound, and the only shows i saw on these tours. 97 was great, 2003 also - so i had 6 years of bad sound expierience. this happens, but i am still around. and it's great that that many of you are also. it's a big part of the show.

expecting the next one to be good again as the vinnese one was, and many others were, and probably seeing some of you in budapest.
let them rise, make them reverberate. and let us kick the band's arses if they deserve it from time to time

For what it's worth: I know left handed people who play right handed guitar. Just because the guitars are cheaper and in the end you have a better coordination on the frets.

Blimey, so they're humans??? They have human problems? Don't tell me they also get things like flu or headache or stomach ache caused by the varying cuisine experiences that happen when one is in journey all around the world for many weeks and has to perform on stage almost every evening.

all the people started to speak saying that the volumen is low. it getting bored etc...

donÂ´t discuss me what i saw
i consider myself a hardcore fan, but when the things goes wrong i must say it as well

Diego duuuuude c'mon

My "home game" in Hamburg wasn't really a top nite out as well. s**t happens - the next day in Berlin was reall great (Dresden as well) so all I can say is that they made it up to me and I'm glad the I've decided to expand my tour schedule.

And we all should know that there's no 100% satisfaction guarantee at a sisters show.

The people who chat at music events chat because they're f**king chatterboxes, not because the sound is low.

On the other hand - a low volume and a little lack of interest is quite an invitation to start this f**king chattering. I will not excuse those people becuse I think it's great to hear a show without the need of earplugs but we can't force anybody to share this attitude. So finally we have to get used to it or the band needs to find a way to play louder.

So I'd rather get used to the chatting, because I absolutely wholeheartedly hate this numb feeling of being half-deaf for many hours after a gig has finished, which most rock bands can provide. I'll never understand what's good and nice about it, and nor will I understand what's the point of wearing earplugs instead of just lowering the level of noise. But that's off-topic. I wasn't in Madrid.

Yes Diego, we all had those experiences in the past in a wide range from totally crap to f*cking brilliant. (I hope they do a crap show in Portugal too, so you don't have to miss a good one).

Back from Madrid and well we enjoyed ourselves. Madrid was a very welcoming city from what we experienced, no more expensive than Amsterdam, Zurich etc etc. Can't comment on the venue prices for Beer, we stuck to water. We had too many ice creams to be drinking beer, Ice creams are where its at.

From where i was standing by the mixing desk the sound was ok, a little quiet at times, the guitars need to be louder, bu thats the same everywhere. The crowd where i was standing seemed to enjoy themselves, yeah people were talking, but they talk at every gig, during every quiet song. Didn't see any of the trouble in the mosh pit that was mentioned. Chris seemed to enjoy himself and jumped into the photo pit at one point, or was he pushed?

Tracks from Floodland were favoured over everything else, with lots of the crowd singing along. One persons great gig and can be poor for other people. Who was a Geislewind in 2007, now that was poor or was i totally wasted!?!

Madrid - yes I'd go back and if my wife thought it was OK then it must have been good (this was here 17 gig and only picks the gigs in nice places).

I think it's quite an extreme decision to give up on the band if they play (in your opinion) a bad show, I've seen a fair few and i'll probably see a few more.

See you all in London and Leeds. lets hope the temperature is around the 25 degrees mark there also.
