Lucretia cover by Warrel Dane

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

i hadn't noticed this one either. thanks for the link :notworthy:

admittedly it doesn't have the vomit-inducing effect which happens to be the distinctive feature of the vast majority of sisters covers i've come across, but there's still something that's not quite right. i can't quite put my finger on it just yet though :?

maybe i'll give it a few more listens and see if i can figure it out... :) :)

I'm a fan of Warrel Dane's band Nevermore, and I was a massive fan of his original band, the mighty Sanctuary. However,I didn't think this particular cover was very good.If you want a real metal version of "Lucretia.." I would suggest German thrash Godz Kreator

(Once you get past the keyboard intro, anyway)

Hands down, the best TSOM covers are, in my opinion, Lambchop's take on This Corrosion and the Supersuckers doing Afterhours.

Ah, the Supersuckers...brings back memories, that does.

Hazy, alcohol-blurred memories? That's what mine are like. The last time i saw them they played as a trio, because Ron had to be home with his ill daughter, I think (or he was back in rehab). It was still a fantastic show.

I'm not a big fan of the genre, but I really like what they did with the song. And I have heard much, much worse!!!

Such things I hear, they don't make sense
