nah, not specifically, but GB did support new model army a while ago and von & justin are bezzie mates... also, i think chris will probably have played alongside GB during one or more of his various incarnations (scaramanga 6, robochrist, ginger, etc etc) so he would be aware of them too.

i've seen john robb at every sisters gig i've been to in manc for the last 10 years  (not to mention every other half decent gig)

debaser will be pleased ;D

Can see a 'creeper shoot out' in the offing. Reckon you'd win Quiff :D

Makes a change someone I've heard of and a band not half bad.
As a newbie to this forum, has there been a "worst support band" thread, and if so,did Sona Fariq win?

Oh well thats a good reason to leave the pub early.

It's a pity we've already got tickets as some of my mates in Kettering are on "really good" terms with Goldblade and we might have got, what's know in the business, as a "Quiffy"....

yep, this has now been confirmed.

goldblade can't advertise it themselves as they are playing their own gig in leeds few days before, but yep. it's true.

(as if having it printed on the ticket wasn't proof enough )

as far as I recall, no there hasn't, but you had to feel for the 'mothers' not that bad, but in a 10,000 capacity arena with people just sat round chatting :?

I still got the limited g/fold somewhere

Worst for me was indeed Sona Fariq.

Best was Oceansize. :D

Pamsin wants to come to this one and has agreed to avail our sofa bed to any desiring soul. A stringent entry test will need to be passed, however. We have very high standards in Upper Armley. Applicants should PM full CV detailing political party affiliations, guitar heroes, feline pet histories and KFC menu preferences. No students. Smokers only.
And you know that she's half crazy but that's why you want to be there.

I went by the academy on Saturday, bought my outback card for 25% discount madness.

Anyhoo after the usual vodka binge of Saturday night I dreamt I was at the venue to see The Sissies. Thing is :von: (looking somewhat floodlandish) threw a pool cue in my general direction and then had me thrown out.

Why I hear you ask?

Well it seems I was thumping Ringo Starr, I mean you would wouldn't you?

Just doesn't seem fair

From where?
I booked my train tickets yesterday, from Worksop(North Nottinghamshire) to Leeds via Sheffield,an "anytime" return was £18.20 which was less than I was expecting tbh.

Only kidding - I've posted regularly about how impressed I am about how many sacrifices (financial and more) people are making to get to this gig.
