“I got lost in the mirror, wondering what could have been, I couldn’t help but kill her, but I couldn’t kill the dream.”
i hadn't noticed this one either. thanks for the link
admittedly it doesn't have the vomit-inducing effect which happens to be the distinctive feature of the vast majority of sisters covers i've come across, but there's still something that's not quite right. i can't quite put my finger on it just yet though
maybe i'll give it a few more listens and see if i can figure it out...

I'm a fan of Warrel Dane's band Nevermore, and I was a massive fan of his original band, the mighty Sanctuary. However,I didn't think this particular cover was very good.If you want a real metal version of "Lucretia.." I would suggest German thrash Godz Kreator

Hands down, the best TSOM covers are, in my opinion, Lambchop's take on This Corrosion and the Supersuckers doing Afterhours.LouLou wrote:seconded! that's probably one of the best sisters covers aroundribbons69 wrote:If you want a real metal version of "Lucretia.." The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.

Ah, the Supersuckers...brings back memories, that does.sultan2075 wrote:Hands down, the best TSOM covers are, in my opinion, Lambchop's take on This Corrosion and the Supersuckers doing Afterhours.

Hazy, alcohol-blurred memories? That's what mine are like. The last time i saw them they played as a trio, because Ron had to be home with his ill daughter, I think (or he was back in rehab). It was still a fantastic show.7anthea7 wrote:Ah, the Supersuckers...brings back memories, that does.sultan2075 wrote:Hands down, the best TSOM covers are, in my opinion, Lambchop's take on This Corrosion and the Supersuckers doing Afterhours.

I'm not a big fan of the genre, but I really like what they did with the song. And I have heard much, much worse!!!Purple Light wrote:I hadn't seen this till today, its pretty metal. I like it.
