Daft question, maybe...

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Just found that colour from a dark top in my wash has bled a neon green t-shirt into a dull green (looks like loads of red stains if you look really close)

Maybe under UV light it won't matter much, but it looks dire now, and cost me a fair bit.

Anyone got any suggestions on how to get rid of said dark stains?

Have you tried anything like Vanish? Stain devils?

I like my cyber clothing, in addition to the mesh, nets, drainpipe jeans, Docs, safety-pin-covered skirts, etc. A lot of variation, Tim ;)

I've tried nothing yet, Mark, just happened last night. Guess that's what happens what I decide "hang on, if I wash all my "hand-wash only" clothes together, maybe it won't damage them much!" at 2am. :|
Though in my defense, this particular top had NO care tag at all, so I was at a loss.

You could just leave it soaking in cold water for a while. The Dye is not fixed so most of it should rince away.

You could buy some dye and re-do it yourself ;)

My girlfriend (once psytrance fanatic  ) says when neon green turns into something else it won't never be neon green again, no matter what (to shorten a 15 minutes speech..) :(

Sorry, but don't shoot the mailman...

Hey, don't make fun of psytrance ex-fanatics :)

While both the genre and subculture have been utterly crap for years now, the golden age ( 1994-98 ) was truly magical, and Sweden had one of the strongest scenes on the planet. The only thing I regret is ditching the sisters at Arvika '98 in favor of the psytrance party

Hmmm not sure about luminous green. Did once get a letter printed in UTR discussing the green of the Republic's kit, which at that point was deep and green. Of which :von: approved. I think it was a world cup year. By the way were The Leather Nun and Jesus Couldn't Drum Swedish? Can't recall but damn fine names for bands....

It's when such questions arise that you know you're getting old... :P
Seriously: I know the problem but haven't found a solution for coloured clothes yet, unless you want to bleach and re-dye them. Sorry... ;D

I don't mind if it's not MASSIVELY dayglo again, but I'd like it slightly improved. :|

So far the options are:
1) Vanish stain remover
2) Soak for a few hours

Any more? :|

I think you can still get these special sheets in the supermarket (like those Bounce tumbledryer things) called 'colour run remover' or suchlike. I think the idea is that you rewash the offending garment with the sheet which magically mops up the extra dye...might be worth a go?
