Why ? I am still counting on that promised Polish beer. Anyway, gigs were already postponed once and the unspellable diseases should pass after some time. Maybe no news means good news._emma_ wrote:If I'm not nice enough for your liking I'm sorry, but I can't promise I will be. Too many negative emotions recently to be nice to people whose attitude escalates these emotions even more, I'm afraid.cardoman wrote:Be nice, Emma!

drinking... yes Phil, but i'm the last one who wish him bad luck. i've got half of second easter day really f**k out when i heard that he goes to hospital i don't really want to lose him or something like that. it may be stupid but it's rather normal thought when you care about someone who's important in your life. that misunderstanding may come from my very good english or somethingNever Land wrote:Drinking ditches of Duvel lately R. ?lachert wrote:yeah, all users there wish him sudden death with me on the front line_emma_ wrote:Who cares? 5 people? 10?

I think it was more that there are things some people don't find a matter for joking, even when they know you aren't serious. I understood what you meant - and I'm not mad at you.lachert wrote:...that misunderstanding may come from my very good english or something

Hey, I'm Polish too, and in Polish mentality there is a certain characteristic feature, which is that when someone says "yeah, all users there wish him sudden death with me on the front line" and adds the "", what he means is: "So you really think that there are people here who wish him bad? And you think that I'm one of them? Oh come on! You must be mad if you really think so." It's the Polish mentality, so I understood that one. It's maybe other nationalities sense of humour that I have problems with. Anyway, I believe that some things should be universal, like, for example, the old simple truth that in certain situations it's good to be careful with words, and so on...
yeah, emma thanks for explanation even polish folks soemtimes don't know when i'm serious and when i'm joking and make an eyes like these for the better ones, anyway, now i'm sober, so no stupid jokes or whatever today

got the same + i got rubbish sense of humor. some says that we (Poles) and Brits got similar sense of humor so it's sometimes sounds cruel but it's not what we real think - in the other words read some of us posts backwards.

cause always if I am joking this ironic and cruel way, all people in my job don´t understand and some are getting even angry. Mostley I see this ... Makes a lot of problems.
Think i should move to another country or I should stop joking this way. But moving would be easier...

Balzac said about Poles:
" They have courage, intellect and strength but as they lack firmness of purpose this courage, intellect and strength have no method or intelligent control, for the Pole is as unstable as the wind that dominates this vast swampy plain"
Read that last night and funnily enough bumped into you lot here this morning.
By the way I hope this does n't insult someone.

ah, that's why I like the Poles ... and certainly because my grandparents lived there before they had to leave in World War II.Gollum's Cock wrote:Balzac said about Poles:

Furthermore, I know some very good fencers and fencing trainers from that country, and car mechanics, of course ...
agree, if you look at elections in Poland it's like 4 years for left wing party next for for right wing and 2 months after every elections we start to lamenting for what we chose.Gollum's Cock wrote:Balzac said about Poles:

we can "build" something together only in a moment(s) of crisis just to demolished when danger is away.
