J.G. Ballard dies at 78

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

great book. Conversely I finished the drowned world a couple of months ago - so uncomfortably claustrophobic.

Mentioned on the BBC news the other day. No mention of Crash :innocent:

I always wondered why the stuff about Liz Taylor didn't make it into the film.

Sad loss.

Sad news. He was a real visionary.

Well it would, being Dave Simpson writing the music bit.

That's because WE are becoming old sods. All our heroes are coming to a tricky age.

Ballard shouldn't be mentioned in the same breathe as Avril :x

Sadly I think she'd get more press if she died- we live in a sick, sad world :(

Enjoyed the Gruaniad piece in the G2 today :innocent:
