I've changed my avatar as well as my signature several times. BUT then it changed in every former post as well.
Très dommage ... Can't you do anything about this? Please ...

They're tied to your profile, not the individual posts. I suspect that otherwise, with the way some people change things in and out... Well, anyway, the emphasis is on content, not appearance. Most forums work that way.Being645 wrote:I've changed my avatar as well as my signature several times. BUT then it changed in every former post as well.

It'd be great if photos in real life updated this way too. Then you'd never have to look back and cringe at those fashion mistakes!...
Someday - and we've all done it - you'll pick an avatar or sig that when you look back on is so embarassing you'll be happy things are this way.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Or as we say in the trade, "It's a feature, not a bug!"

BB = bulletin board (which is what our community here is, technically)Being645 wrote:markfiend wrote:That's kind of the point of avatars and sigs on BB systems...

bug = something (presumably incorrect/poorly written/etc) in the code that makes the program/application/whatever not perform as expected/desired.
"It's a feature, not a bug!" = 'The cheque is in the mail.'

The word "bug" is commonly (although probably erroneously) thought to stem from an insect that got caught in, and introduced an error into, an early 1940's computer.
