The Mumbles : "Night Train" - New Single

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

We will at last be releasing a new single in May followed by a full album in the Autumn!

The one-track single is entitled "Night Train" and will be available to download from all the popular online stores (including iTunes) from May. At the moment we don't have a concrete release date as the shops tend to add new tracks in batches rather than at user-defined times but it should start appearing during May (once it's available I'll let you guys know).

In the meantime you can listen to a quick sample on our MySpace page : www.myspace.com/themumblesofficial

Hope you like it! :D

Wow - sounds great (again) :notworthy:

But why are you leaving the "non-commercial" path :?:

As for a small independent act without huge PR in the background I don't see much sense in selling music these days (apart from concert tickets).

Now here's a band that I follow since they started out no? ;D

And the nicest thing is, that you can hear them evolving to a really cool sound... :notworthy:

The instruments are much tighter nowadays (I guess thanks to either the art of MIDI or the art of learning to play in the beat ;D)

The only thing that ails my old heart now that the levels are so loud you hear actual clipping (Night Train Single Mix as a good example). Watch them levels guys ;)

Apart from that, very nice! Good songs, still outstanding voice (I thought so from the beginning and still do), you'll come far I hope!

New mix of Fire Dance is strong!

I'll pay you twice the cost of the Night Train download if you'd make me a CDR Single version of it with Fire Dance as the B Side :)

You are getting better for sure:
That new single is a very interesting tune indeed. I don't really like the instrument sounds but the song as such and the singing definately are quite good. Very good even!
Great great job, boys! :notworthy:

*Sneaks in and whispers* Night train screams for a bass and a distorted or overdriven guitar, if you ask me.. Then it's done, well done..

:( :( :(

I'll try some of the others later.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Hmmm - Rhapsody and Lala are US only, ShockHound hit me with City/State/Zip crap which needed to be filled in (I gave up then).

Guess I'm just "geographically restricted" all round. Bummer. :(
