The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.

Lucretia recently appeared on the Barnes & Noble exclusive CD "After Dark".
Here is the number stateside to contact iTunes to set up distribution through them:
(408) 974-0880
Starbucks and iTunes do a weekly "Pick of the week" which includes small business card sized cards that have a download code.
Starbucks Contact address for media and such is as follows:
Customer Service
StarbucksStore.com
4086 Del Rey Avenue
Marina Del Rey, CA 90292
Currently attempting to contact Rhino UK and Barnes & Noble for recent sales figures of the 2006 re-releases and that aforementioned "After Dark" CD.
I will also be pursuing the manager of the Musical Score for the upcoming "Twilight" sequel as well as the upcoming Street Fighter and Transformers sequel (no not Revenge of The Fallen, the third movie) to see if there would be any interest in Crash and Burn, Romeo Down (might be a fit for Twilight) or Arms.
Where there is a will there is a way. Chris alluded to distribution and production being huge stumbling blocks.
It's time to think outside of the box.
Obviously at least one finished studio produced single to shop around would help...

After Dark
A friend of mine at work (who I got listening to First and Last and Always) swore to me he heard Sisters at BN, but when I asked him what song he said he didn't know - but he just knew it was them. I figured he must have been mistaken - I will have to tell him that he was right!

Maybe not, but apparently it is possible to change the meaning of any word ...Nadia81 wrote:(the g*th thing is just never gonna go away,is it?)
as we could observe lately and worldwide ...
One example is the word "reform" ...
which is nowadays being used in quite a different way from a few years ago ...
AND: before that ... "reform" was something very sought-after for decades ...

I, for one, would like to take back 'goth' from the wankers. Mr E didn't have issues with it out the outset - and by any scale in use at the time, he qualified. It's what it's been turned into that's caused all the backlash, and I'm totally behind it - despite being an Unrepentant Wearer Of Black myself.Being645 wrote:Maybe not, but apparently it is possible to change the meaning of any word ...Nadia81 wrote:(the g*th thing is just never gonna go away,is it?)

unfortunately it is like any label in that after a while it just doesn't work. thats the trouble, things change, come and go and so do people, music and fashion. i wonder actually whether any label works forever because of this. even two goths wouldn't neccessarily look at each other and agree on everything!

Same reason non-straights wanted to take back 'queer', and non-Wiccans want to take back 'witch', and...oh, I could go on and on. But I won't.sultan2075 wrote:Ugh. Why would you want to do a thing like that?7anthea7 wrote:I, for one, would like to take back 'goth' from the wankers.
It had a meaning that was not representative of something annoying/repulsive/pathetic. In many people's opinions, anyway. Possibly not yours, but in that case it doesn't make any difference one way or the other, does it?

as soon as you get there, they'll find one for you, anyway ...Nadia81 wrote:On second thought , "They" can have "goth".The word 's buggered beyond all hope of repair.I don't need a label, anyway.
and the more you care, the more it gets in your way, I guess.
then why oh why not try to capitalise on it a bit morecopper wrote:As Von stated early into the decade, 'The Grandfather of Goth' title annually earns him up to approximately £150,000.Nadia81 wrote:(the g*th thing is just never gonna go away,is it?)

In reference to Prescott's post about movie soundtrack licensing I have no objection to the girls songs being used for movies I won't be watching as I will not be listening either

I had recommended this long before the end of the last millennium ...
but he would not listen, anyway - too stubborn (and too busy).
