Gig reviews, set lists, thoughts, comments and observations on the 2008/2009 Sisters tour, including the Autumn/Winter 2008 U.S. and European 2009 legs.
Having lived in Sheffield I'll agree with the second clip- that soap is sheer southern laziness (expensive too!). Eastenders is s**t- if I'm forced to watch a soap it would be Corrie

If you knew how much money I have squandered over the years you would sympathise with her and not me son
I had a face on the mirror
I had a hand on the gun
I had a place in the sun and a ticket to Syria
Buggerit, serves me right for having cats. First gig ever coming up, cat gets ill, has one vet trip, gets better and now cat seems to be ill again with the same thing. I forsee my bank statement all saying "£xxx - Vets".
He has good timing, I'll give him that.
Do not meddle in the affairs of cats, for they are subtle and will p*ss on your computer.

So as i am in north norfolk for the week, am travelling to and from north norfolk, with 2 tickets ! one to stand 1 to sit !!
probably need to sit once i am weighed down with shirt, fleece . hoodie cabbage and crackerjack pencil !!!!
I'm planning on taking as much money as possible to Leeds,in the hope of getting at least two lyric shirts,a tour shirt and a hoodie. My hotel is just up the road from the venue( I think!) and I may well nip back there just to drop stuff off, then return to the gig.
However,my experience of Sisters merch stalls in the past means that I'll count myself lucky if they have anything left in my size (X/L) at all!

That may have sealed me into getting a scarf. I like my hoodies to be baggyish and snuggly, and that's hard as it is..large tracts of land and all that. That and I'll wear it to death and then pout when it falls to bits...

Well,my point wasn't that they don't have a specific size, just that they tend to sell out of things!

I'm not sure I'll be quick enough to get an XL one...that said, my cat-eat-pink-fluff hoody is a 2xl and only just fits. D: Things like this concern me! Possibly because I'm a girl.
Despite all my previous criticism about the availability of Sisters goodies,I was able to go bonkers last night, bought four t shirts (Crash and Burn/Summer/Tour dates/Mechanised) and a hoodie.Although I did ask the nice merch lady if I got anything free for spending a hundred and five quid,to be told with a smile "No"

You could have a sticker, but they were a pound!

what a shame they started sell stickers at berlin gig and it was for 1 euro so it was nice suprice that they give 'em for free in poland - not to mention that t-shirts was so cheap in polish zlotys compare to other europe countries prices
very cheap only 25 zł (comparing to Warsaw) and 15 zł cheaper than ticket price. quite ridiculous for a normal tee with band name and something more pressed on.
I'm getting non-buyer's remorse on the embroidered t-shirt I didn't get.
The faded grey and crash & burn ones are great though.
The merch people at the Forum were very patient while I asked in turn for each t-shirt that was available only in pixie or zeppelin sizes then didn't buy them.

I only see one design with the "skinny" girly fit.
I know this was said before during the US tour when the girly shirts sold out early, I'll say it again - do they just not realize how many FEMALE fans they have? I'm having one of the European tour shirts sent to me and it looks like I'll have to settle for a "normal" fit, which never fits me right. I managed to get two skinny fit tees in Chicago (tour and Utterly Bastard Groovy) and I absolutely love them.
Middle age spread.....Sisters fans are a bit more 'Lardy' these days, hen!
Pfffffft! Speak for yourself, please! *I* happen to be quite fit. In fact, I'm fitter than I was 20 years ago.
It's quite simple really (although I know that saying the following around here is tantamount to telling you lot to go f*ck your mums, innit):
1. Get off your arses. DO something!
b. Stop stuffing your faces. Even better, stop stuffing your faces with saturated fats, and eliminate animal products entirely. Eat loads of fresh/steamed veg., legumes, and whole grains. Try tofu, it won't kill you.
pi. Cut back on the alcohol consumption. No, really.
Repeat the above, and often. Maybe one day you, too, will be able to wear a "skinny fit" tee!
...
For a second there I dreamt I could achieve the above,
then the cold realization: will release a record before that happens.....
