If you could ask Eldritch one question.....

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

i dunno about that. Mr Churchill always had a wicked laugh and the punchline always has me in stitches

I met Andrew Eldritch before the second Leeds gig in 2003.

I wanted to ask him why he hadn’t released a record for 10 years.

I wanted to discuss The Middle East.

I wanted to tell him it was his fault I studied pharmacology at Leeds Uni.

We discussed cats and the use of mercury in fillings.

Surreal.

Cheers,

Al

Necrothread resuscitation

I'd ask him about the price of cat food in Deutschland as I get ours imported due to the excellent quality our boys love. I'm just concerned that I might be being ripped off

"Did my singing please you?"

nope, never seen it. if other kfc ads are anything to go by, however, i'd assume it involves the portrayal of the ideal, happy family salivating over said kfc bucket. :urff:

as for whatever is in the bucket - the only justification i can think of is the parents being clueless morons who don't give a toss about their children's health. not to mention how it will shape their eating habits as an adult. :(

i know it's cheap and lots of people are strapped for cash with the economic downturn, but surely there are much better alternatives than stuffing your kid's face with greasy, processed s**t from a carton bucket?

shall we ask :von: what he thinks about the antedecents and consequences of childhood obesity too?

but then again, he's probably too "compact" to identify with any of it

i did have one bit of kfc chicken going back years and the next day - i was soooo thirsty - same with the husband - it was the amount of salt - never again!!

you're right it is cheaper and easier to shop and cook "bad" food. either these parents don't care about their childrens wellbeing or if they were brought (dragged) up on similar they don't know any different  lets face it youcould get a shed load of veg, a whole chicken and do a big stew or something for the price of a KFC bucket. but that takes for them too much effort. :?

:von: would probbably have many thoughts on the topic possibly not all repeatable
