It's about time somebody said it

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

He did look fairly handsome when I saw them, but then I was pretty shedded at the time.
And now hes off married to Patricia Morrison and having kids with her.

Still a great live band - lots and lots of fun

My first proper gig was The Damned at the end of 2004 (blimey )... seeing Captain Sensible dress as a schoolgirl, get a roadie to pour whiskey down his throat as he pretended to collapse on the stage, and then throw his underwear into the crowd as he flashed his arse.. and that was just inbetween the songs.
Wish I knew more of their songs then.. but even now I could only name about 7 or 8.
I should really get around to listening to that 3CD "Neat Neat Neat" compilation I've got. Correction, I should really FIND it first.

God, I haven't listened to that since ... sometime in the late 80s! I think I sold all my Damned vinyl (for them was the days of vinyl) for beer & cigarette money back in '89. Of course in those days vinyl was called platters and turkeys were called walking birds...

@ Hexe - And who would blame you - he had a great image at that time. Circa 1983/1984 In fact their bassist at that time was from my home town - Bryn something.

I remember it being featured in an episode of Miami Vice in 1988. Then "Wasteland" was featured in the next one :)

...and speaking of, MV was seriously a kick-ass show. I watched a mess of YooToob clips from assorted seasons last night, and the nostalgia threatened to pull me under. Someday, when I have $$$, I'm buying all of the DVDs. One of the most brilliantly-executed shows to ever hit TV, imho. :notworthy:

True! If I remember correctly, that series was the one where Crockett had a laspe of memory and went off the rails for weeks, going round blowing up boats (and people no doubt).

And I seem to remember In Dulce Decorum cropping up later on in the series... :notworthy:
