Simon Pegg (Spaced, Shaun, Hot Fuzz etc) chose Marianne

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Pegg was asked to pick (5?) songs on Radio 2 last night.
Afraid I wasn't paying much attention to what program it was.
Turns out Pegg was a goth in his youth, and chose Marianne.
Odd hearing it on the radio!

Simon.

Writer and star of Spaced, Shaun of the Dead, etc and Scotty in the new Star Trek movie?

I saw an interview with him in the past, and he confessed then to his pre-rave (i.e. Spaced) goth-ness; I had completely forgotten about that, but bit like me really. :)

I'm going to look on iPlayer, hearing Marianne on iPlayer will be even stranger than hearing it on the radio.

I think we've been in here too long. I feel unusual. I think we should go outside.

Didn't he wear a Banshees T-shirt in one of his films?

Agreed 100%

He's like Rowan Atkinson now - just not funny but has the talent.
