For Greater Good @ BODYBEATS, Antwerp, Belgium

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

When:
Saturday, May 23, 2009

Where:
Trix Zaal
Noordersingel 30
2140 Borgerhout(Antwerp)

Tix: 25/30 euro

Starts: 16.00 PM

Line-up:

THE NEON JUDGEMENT (B) is without doubt one of Belgium’s best know alternative acts since the early eighties. Next to their classic songs like ‘The fashion party’ & TV treated’ this electro/wave cult combo will also present some NEW songs from their long awaited upcoming album.

PORTION CONTROL (UK) Another electro cult band that has been around from the early '80's. Although they might have 'staggered mentally' in the 90's, since 2004 they are back with full force and stunning visuals!

A SPLIT-SECOND (B) More cult/wave/electro with a band, which scored in clubs worldwide with their most famous song 'Flesh', a song that according to some people even started a complete new music style.

SHEEP ON DRUG (UK) A f**ked-up English band around Lee Fraser that originated in the early 90's and managed to get almost immediately daily MTV airplay with their singles 'Motorbike' & '15 Minutes Of Fame' and are amazingly still alive.

THE WEATHERMEN (B) or an American – Belgian friendship between Bruce Geduldig (Tuxedomoon) and J.M. Leatherman (Digital Dance/ Fad gadget/Kid Montana) resulting in exquisite & danceable electro songs almost for 3 decades now …

PSYCHE (CAN/D) The life time project of the Canadian & lead singer Darrin Huss takes you on a journey from the darkest Industrial songs like ‘Maggots’ to the perfect electro pop songs like ‘Unveiling The Secret’ or ‘Goodbye Horses’ and back again.

FOR GREATER GOOD (B) is a Belgium-based ambient music project, trying to describe the world of today by means of ambient soundscapes mixed with everyday samples. The sound is often gloomy, sometimes uplifting, but always with a sparkle of hope for the future.

Be there or be oblong! ;D

Worth the ticket price to see Sheep On Drug imho

Have they dropped the 's' from their name or am I confused? (I used one of their tracks for a remix I once did but I forget which one.)
I had a face on the mirror
I had a hand on the gun
I had a place in the sun and a ticket to Syria

I received a flyer yesterday upon entering the AB and I was giddy as a schoolgirl: not only some very appealing bands to play, but also my birthday :D
... and then came the touchdown: the missus telling me that we'll be on holiday in some faraway place or the other. We'll see if any changes can be made ;D

Anyway all the best to FGG for the gig ( I did endorse you guys to the Ter Lo people quite a few times, maybe it finally paid off  )
in dub we trust

I'd make the flash softer with my bounce card but I'll look silly enough this way, so shades are advisable yes

Ah ken, but I ruined a handful of 3000ISO Polas at my last go... Or I should bring along a less impressive but faster lensed camera than the Hassy, works too of course :)
