Gensurik pm

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Anyone else get a pm from this new poster. I've not opened it. Title is 'Spam Protection' and there's a clicky saying 'Read new rules'

Sneaky bugger must know I crave pm's

Not me ya fat nosed huskey thingy.

No PM to me.....yet

But is there a way to filter the spam registrations here?

Can the registration include a question & answer part?
Doesn't need to be mensa level.
Just a simple question that the bots won't be able to answer.
Cheers.

That's a good idea. We've set up a couple of questions to answer when registring to Dawnrazor and it has worked out well for us.

One of my security questions on an internal system is "What did Gift cost?" Not difficult to answer for a fan, but pretty much impenetrable for a spamster.

gensurik will not be bothering anyone else under that username any longer.

There has been a notable spike in spammers lately, after a much-appreciated lengthly lull. QB knows about it.

Those spikes match with Sister tours temporarily, methinks. Coincidence?

Pants question isn't possible. Not sure how legitimate newbies would feel when registering their current pant hue though
& if they were "going commando" that would also be awkward.

Any question really, but with a simple answer that anyone knows & before you say, "everyone knows what colour (note the spelling) pants they are wearing", there is a good chance there will be an assortment.
Mmmmmm.....thinks "database"...... :innocent:

The answer needs to be something uniform & simple.
The bots won't get through that.
Cheers.
