Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

The Parisiennes are complete stick up arses ( talk about inferiority complex. 'Later on' as they say around these parts ) . The people in the South of France are a different kettle of fish and they are people I/ We have a lot of time for. It's our plan to go and live on the French Atlantic coast one day

Gotta like their wine. And there are some great french films like Night on Earth, Nikkita and Taxi.

My very limited experience of the French would also appear to paint them as stubborn, unhelpful, condescending and evasive. This is an impression many visitors get, and we can relate it most meaningfully, in many instances, to a French dislike of having to speak a tongue which decidedly won the imperialist language war, when we, the imperialist Anglophones, feel no need to speak French. I have no opinions about their use of soap, or lack thereof. I have not met very many Froggies, so the above is not in the least scientific. I suspect it also depends on what you're looking for, and what your expectations are. If you believed their cinema, you would suppose that the French have always done a very fine line in unpredictable, pouting, kittenish and sultry femmes fatale. Which is very nice, if that's what you like. I remember a certain erstwhile Francophobe, Mr E, having a soft spot for Catherine Deneuve. In my own teenage years, I will confess a certain softness of heart towards Beatrice Dalle. Vive la difference, I say...

BAD: The frog I shared a flat with, Partick Vierra, their attitude (and to hygene), Sasha Distelle, their diet.

GOOD: Monica Belluci, Vincent Cassel, Eric Cantona, Wine.

It's Monica Bellucci and she's italian. La Haine is a great film, Cantona's style probably fitted the English game more then anything, which probably says more about the Premiership at the time then his abilities. And wine is made in various countries and can hardly be considered French in origin. Superieur, yes.

Also it's Patrick Vieira, he's born in Senegal and must be one of the greatest French footballers after Tigana. And I'd wish I would be as well preserved as Distel at his age (which probably says something about diet & hygiene):

Southern Hemisphere wines are far superior IMHO these days, but Catherine Deneuve, especially in The Hunger..... OMG! now we are talking :P
