Michael Jackson dead?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Who's bad?

I wonder if they'll be this much fuss when Gary Glitter dies.

Heard about an hour ago, apparently it's true.

Lotta mixed feelings which I need to get straight in my head, if for no other reason, because it's gonna be THE topic of conversation down the pub for the next while.

Growing up at a certain time, OK he was our version of Elvis, leastways up to the mid 80s. But the first thing went through my head was "there goes the 'what's the difference between Michael Jackson and a ghost?' joke".

Second thing was, "f--k it, lotsa people die every day, and in disgusting circumstances too. Why should he be special?"

Third thing was "I'm dreading the media circus..."
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Christ alone knows how they're going to dispose of the body - California won't allow you to bury or burn plastic. Presumably they'll shred most of him and turn the results into fleece jackets...

MH - yeah, but at least it gets Jade off the front page...

Is everyone dead? Am I dead?

The Jeff Goldblum one appears to be untrue as it claims he died in new Zealand when he's apparently filming in NYC. But I don't know how reliable either source is, although I've seen people from NZ posting that they haven't come across anything when the original source was supposedly a NZ newspaper. Seems to be a bad taste hoax.

We can at least confirm that Farrah Fawcett died today after a long battle with cancer.

MJ was a top entertainer. Saw him live in the 80s - not coz I was a fan, but just to get the experience. And a mighty experience it was too.

I think he's been so in-and-out of the news over the last 30 years, it feels like a family friend has died.

A sad day.

Get a better view of what - his lifeless corpse? Al Sharpton shilling? His nose popping as a paramedic got a little enthusiastic with the CPR? Or a better view of him being hustled out of the side entrance and whisked away to somewhere with no extradition agreement leaving the rest of the poor suckers in California to cover his taxes?
Fucking ghouls.

Who's dead?
So he bit the dust, passed away, keeled over, kicked the bucket?
Can't help but think that for the lad I wish he'd had a more normal human life.
Bit of a tragedy, actually. I hope he enjoyed the ride on the planet.
