Hi All,
I'm just wondering where the phrase "Utterly Bastard Groovy" is from (as in where did Eldritch or whoever came up with it got it from)?
I know it's something that could be said in Yorkshire or the north (that's my guess) (even though I'm originally from Nottingham, I'd never heard it used around there) and I wouldn't think it would be used in the south but does anyone have a better or correct answer for us?
I was trying to explain it to my (American) wife but couldn't.......
Hope someone can give us an answer.
Thanks in advance

That could be the root of the problem...originalgoth wrote:I was trying to explain it to my (American) wife

First used by Eldritch, so far as I'm aware, to describe NTTC shortly before it's release. Which is odd, as it seems more in tune with the latter Sisters, but there ya go.
I'd always assumed that it was just an Eldritchism.

If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

I have always been under the impression that it was the sum total of a published review of the Adrenochrome single. Is that not correct?

It was definately used in the press releases for NTTC, as shown in the purple/black cuttings book.mh wrote:First used by Eldritch, so far as I'm aware, to describe NTTC shortly before it's release. Which is odd, as it seems more in tune with the latter Sisters, but there ya go.

That was the year in which we discussed Leonard Cohen´s Sisters of Mercy? It was a hit back then, I remember.Patti82 wrote: I can't help but laugh a bit when seeing the stats for December 1969
Only the Americans could have built a place like this in the middle of a jungle.

I'm one of the guilty ones that uses the standard theme. But after checking them all out I must say that IF I had to choose another one I would go with IGM as wellmh wrote:I never even knew "Alice" existed!
