No that art does NOT say the Sisters of Mercy to me, not our TSOM anyway but that's just my opinion.

Throwing Copper was the album by the band 'Live'.James Blast wrote:Peter Howson's painting, it was used on an album cover by Throwing Copper (who?) is up for sale, bag it now fanatics!
I wouldn't buy it just because it's associated with that crybaby homo band.

I can see neither sisters nor mercy in this painting. ... and surely not The Sisters of Mercy.
Not the worst piece of expressionist craftsmanship.
I like the lights and the colours and the setting - couldn't
stand it on my wall for more than five minutes, though ...

That painting is almost comic style.
I´d rather have called it "Celibate" than "The Sisters of Mercy" though.

Sorry to have missed it.

Get a clue, fuckwit - the language, and the attitude it conveys, isn't appreciated. Insulting people about it isn't making you any more points.indy wrote:whatever you bunch of f**king crybabies. Suck it and toughen up.

Sorry James for hijacking your post.
So I guess because someone complained that is what started the big ruckus here......hey there is worse stuff in other threads.

Anyway whatever, what's done is done. Feel free to close my account, I don't care and I am not going to back down because someone complains like a little girl about it.
And if anyone wants to fight about it feel free.....I am angry and ready to kill.

Did anyone complain there? No and those were basically personal attacks on people. I just said it about the band because I do not like them.Firstly: Your all both Gay and Faggot for not liking the Big Lebowski or the first American Pie movie. Clerks was done on the cheap and became some sort of art house looking bollocks. But, for what it was worth it was a fine film and is the building block for the entire View Askew Universe. Again if your fail to like Dogma etc..you are once more gay and faggot.

Here's a clue for free: If you'd been paying attention, you'd have realised Ramone throws that sort of inflammatory stuff around all the time - and it's understood that's it's not meant to be taken seriously. Holding him up as justification is understandable, I suppose, but also fairly ludicrous. Is it PC? Not a bit. Were these 'personal attacks'? Also, not a bit - because they were understood, in context. You can call your friends idiots in jest, and they won't take offense. But using a distasteful adjective in the way you did implies something about your character/maturity/judgment that does not go down well around here.
And I'll accept that my judgment was less than perfect when I posted my comment (which I'm not going to edit or remove, because I'll take my knocks for it). But you pissed me off - less with your original comment than with the attitude you've flung when called on it.
