DIY electronics help needed

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

The foot switch on my smoke machine is somewhat dead - after opening it and having a jab around I can seem to make it want to work.

Thus I need a replacement, the manufactures don't sell them seperately so I need to find an alternative. As it happens the switch that died wasn't the one that came with the machine anyway, so I know that anything that has the same function will work.

I need a basic switch that has a KETTLE LEAD type connection. Lot's of the ones on ebay are designed for guitar amps, they would be perfect but for the jack type connector.

Any advice?

Easy, you don't need that switch, full power at all times, that's what you want ;D
