RIP Keith Floyd

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Channel 4 must have known he was on his way out, watched that "Keith meets Keith" last night (Keith Allen interviewing Keith Floyd).

Oh sad news, he was hilarious! He should have called his shows "Squiffy Snacks". He was wonderfully fun and exuberant.

A great shame, according to his obituary in the paper today :- "On one occasion he gleefully recalled serving a serially ungrateful diner a carefully cooked beer mat disguised as a breaded escalope of veal. The man ate it without comment but criticised the topping on his crème brûlée. "

RIP Keith Floyd.

A true legend.

He was a fan of the Stranglers and "Waltz in black" was the theme tune to his programmes.

Just listened to it at full blast in memory of the great man.

Remember being young and watching Floyd with my culinary-genius of an Aunt. Astonished at how much wine went into his meals - and himself!

Truly a role-model!

...except the cooking

A shame really as I have cooked his tropical chicken many times.
He will be sorely missed.
