For those about to Goth (Whitby)

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

It's the thing that kills people according to the daily mail.

Best avoided then. I could do without any death, what with Christmas round the corner and all.

And yet strangely, I avoid playing The Misfits like the plague.

I tend to play more bands like..

Mad Sin
The Killcreeps
Cult Of The Psychic Fetus
The Cryptkeeper Five
The Death Riders
Frankenstein
Immaculate Deceptions
Memphis Morticians
Koffin Kats
The Creepshow
Psychonauts
Gutter Demons
Agent X

I'm going to be doing Whitby, but that list is not selling it to me.

Goth was always classy and intelligent for me... it had nothing to do with fake blood and B-Movie gore. Alien Sex Fiend the exception that proves the rule.

That's OK, as its not for every one. Plus its only a small list of what I'm currently into. Don't forget, this is basically a fringe event, and although arranged by Jo herself, does't make the night anymore less important that any others.

Basically, if you're not into psychobilly or deathrock type genres, probably best to avoid it.

Fridays Spa gig will be tradionally goth though for those getting worried!
