Soooooooo looking forward to Friday night
Four strings good, six strings bad
Just back from seeing them in Glasgow with Big Si. I didn't get my ticket till Saturday and I got the very last one in the shop. As for the gig, Girlschool were OK, The Damed were OK - playing their older stuff that I don't know so well and Dave Vanian looking more than slightly like Bono! However Motorhead blew the lid off the place Not sure how but they did. Sound was fuzzy, I couldn't hear much of what Lemmy was saying but they just blazed a trail and had the whole place bouncing Needless to say, my ears are still ringing and no doubt will be for the whole of tomorrow. I can live with that
Don, sorry we missed you - we didn't bargain on the Laurieston shutting at 11!

Thought The Damned warmed the crowd up nicely.Andrew S wrote:Just back from seeing them in Glasgow with Big Si. I didn't get my ticket till Saturday and I got the very last one in the shop. Motorhead were indeed in fine form - hard to believe Lemmy turns 64 on Christmas Eve. He hasn't aged so much as become fossilised!
Aye, bit of a bummer we've missed one another but I was happy to make the gig - for a while it looked liked I'd spend the gig sitting on the M9.
You are what you drink - I'm a bitter man!
Aye it was an absolute belter!
Next time i'll buy a ticket as soon as they're on sale, and for downstairs. First time i've ever seen a live Drum Solo!
I guess the Laurieston shut along with several other pubs as it was a thursday night, not the weekend.
