For me, it has to be Lady Diana's farewell party before she made her transmogrification from Sexy Goth to Mrs Richey James. After a few cheap drinks in the Angel we ended up in a skinny bar on Upper Briggate whose name I forget (it's probably changed a few times since anyway). Tight squeeze at the bar for some fruity Belgian beers and a strangely comfortable feel given the limited space and many gregarious indulgers. Overriding memory of them playing the whole of Bowie's Hunky Dory. Rarely experienced that in an English pub. Playing an album from start to finish. Reminded me of a very early alcohol excursion on a school exchange to Germany. Squashed in a smoky booth cuddling a flute of brown beer trying to look older than my fourteen years.

Definitely the North Bar. We bumped into Di at Tim Minchin in Bradford but my head has been so all over the place I didn't realise who she was until she'd wandered back to Richie. One of those how do I know you moments. Sorry Di!
I am a Leeds United fan because I was very naughty in a previous life.

- School's Out was tremendous, lot's of peeps and banter to die for. The weebles hotel was quite lively that year.
The friendships I've cemented over the years thanks to this place.

the world that summerish
thanks to the Forres' Taxi* for transport, Franco Francis/Thrash Harry for still being cool, Michael JansenClone, Dave Zuma & Cat Cat for just being great friends. Pat Pat for being so wide eyed at the whole thing and for sharing an early taxi home with me. Ma Bro Derek R, Andrew S and Claire boudicca for being their splendid selves, Lee EastMidsBonkersBloke for being quite calm that day and another mention for Franco Francis/Thrash Harry for keeping me upright down at the front during Never Land (which did have extra words that night, check the bootleg folks), Dave Zuma was also holding me up, I had drunk almost enuff at that point. And finally DR for picking me up off the step outside the Uni, cheers for being miss congeniality d00mw0lf
a perfect day ruined by a gig
*Ma'grit and Scotty
the bottom line:
when even two are gathered in the name of Heartland, an absolutely magnificent night/day is guaranteed - I have witnessed many

Bidet parties in Glasgow and a gig after party in Louvain
Since someone's mentioned threads, can I mention the original Valentine thread? Indeed.
To be honest though it's all been pretty amazing.
