Been thinking about this some more. My logic was that the only reason Eldritch could have was "Hey, look, Patricia, this bassline you wrote, the song's better without it! Ner ner!" However, even if Patricia didn't write it, Eldritch knows that the bassline is associated with her. So he could be saying "Hey, look, Patricia, this bassline everyone thinks you wrote (even though you didn't) the song's better without it! Ner ner!"Erudite wrote:Eldritch wrote it and Herr Doktor played it.markfiend wrote:Just thinking my thunks, but if Patsy didn't write the Lucretia bassline, why do the Sisters play the song without it these days?
As for the current live version - why does Eldritch do anything?
May I recommend the Smurphs for the original and full version live?
Like you say, trying to figure Eldritch's motivations is a tricky business,
Oh, and re: Smurphs, just been listening to some mp3s off of their site.
The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.
