Looks like we experienced a couple/few (?) hours downtime in the wee hours of this morning.
I tried rebooting the server but that didn't seem to have any effect, so I gave it a hard rest, and that seems to have cleared it up now
Not sure what happened, but we're back now and there's no data lost.
Phew.
Thanks for your patience

happily, it's been quite a while since i've had to report anything like this, but it seems there was a short period over the weekend when heartland was unavailable
on saturday night (about 11.30ish), i started receiving email alerts from an automated site checking service i use that the heartland webserver was not responding
i was able to give the server a quick reboot shortly after that and that fixed the issue. in total i think we were down for about half an hour. maybe slightly more.
tbh, i've no idea why it happened - the logs don't show anything untoward or revealing, but a quick reboot fixed it anyway.
and given the time it happened, most of you probably never even noticed
anyways, yeah. there you go. now you know
