Jeeziz Gawd! is nothing sacred?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

that awful band (we're in RHCP/RATm territory here) the Flaming Lips have decided to cover The Dark Side of the Moon by Thee Pink Floyd!
Henry Rollins and Peaches (?) are involved
are they mental?

Would rather listen to the Flaming lips than the original
Dim, through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.

Really?
I would not touch it even if Fat Bob was doing it.

Remember how The Sisters Of Mercy ( note correct name of band) murdered Comfortably Numb.

Wanna take that risk?

Feck that!

its a good reminder of how good the original is/was
besides I think the easy star all stars are doing a good job in doing something fresh, not like most other coverbands.

Ah but that was funny 8)

This though... this is more like the Scissor Sisters' cover of Comfortably Numb.

OMG. I distinctly remember wanting to hunt the Scissor Sisters down and committing a bad murder after listening to their Comfortably Numb. Total and utter bastids.

TSOM's version wasn't all that bad IMO.

Wouldn't it be ironic to stab them to death with a pair of scissors? :|
