Absolutely not, dear Mr. Meerkat. I thought this movie was wank of the highest order. I was loudly boooing at the end of it while the rest of the cinema applauded. Tskmarkfiend wrote: Am I the only person that thought Pan's Labyrinth was wank then?
A part from that I'm convinced all good movies were done already in the 70s.
P.S. I'd really like to go the movies with Mr. Blast one day. should be hilarious.
Put their heads on f*cking pikes in front of the venue for all I care.

Good point about the 70's Canondocre
As Wiiliam Friedkin said about the state of the film industry "there is not one film in the whole multiplex that an intelligent man could go and see". (that said his last films have been a pile of ....)
I doubt I could name 10 films I really liked, to be honest nowadays I am too f**king impatient to sit through a film. Here's my few though:
Twilight Samurai
Zatoichi
Tropic Thunder
American Psycho
Dead Man's Shoes
Films I hated were Kill Bill 1+2, my God it was bad (Quentin lost me after Pulp).

He didn't have the Dead Man's Shoes beard anyway so I felt at ease.

My list? Wow, this is a tough one indeed, didnt realise so many Ive seen are so recent. I could actually come up with many more than ten, but I would also need to do some serious thinking first, not in the mood.
1. Bladerunner (final cut)
2. Mulholland Drive
3. Inland Empire
4. Requiem for a dream
5. Dark Knight
6. Star Trek
7. Ponyo
8. Tokyo Gore Police
9. Battlestar Galactica (series, but cant go unmentioned)
10. Carnivale (same as above)
A few I really wanted to add, was from 99 ofcourse.
