"New" Box-Set

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I think he would get royalties if he was still under contract with WEA or they had parted as friends, but since he went on strike to sever all contact/relations with them, i suspect the result was he sacrificed all rights to re-issue royalties and the like.
I don't doubt and I don't take direction....

apart from something new (obviously) i'd like an official cd release containing the rest of the body and soul 12", alice 93, etc -ie. all the official stuff not yet available on cd. i've got my own homemade one of course, but it would be nice to have everyything complete.

"...into the mess that scalpels make..." would be the perfect title IMHO.
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

I think a "new" compliation of old material would be a great idea!

Press release - Career spanning retrospective of the greatest g*th band featuring a number of tracks never before released!
Title shortlist: Romance & Assassination/ Rise & Reverberate/ Heartland (it pays to know your audience!)
Suggested track list:

First & Last & Always (previously unreleased mix)
Dominion (7" remix pre-unreleased on CD!?),
Ribbons
Alice 93
Body Electric 84 (pre-unreleased on CD?!)
Afterhours (pre-unreleased on CD?!)
Temple of Love (original)
Valentine
Ampethamine Logic (bootleg Tiffany's 85 pre-unreleased)
Heartland
Good Things (pre-unreleased)
Giving Ground (Sisterhood 7")
This Corrosion (original 12" mix)
Vision Thing

Throw in sleeve notes & potted history from Steve Sutherland or Chris Roberts, a load of archive pix. I'm all over it!!!

yeah, I think it's on disguised in black & agree with you Bartek - one of the best from 85 - "it's not my fault I'm a skinny bastard..." etc! Storming versions of every song, superb sound quality -definately releaseable - and the girls even take Nine While Nine out for a rare spin!

I wouldn't mind seeing Wake out as a blu ray with all the missing songs tbh.
Cheers.
