I-Know-A-Lot-About_The-Sisters (Xmas Comp)

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I can eat a cargo ship full of lettuce in an hour if that equals to knowing the answers to all your questions. Or I can eat a dead rat, I'm open for negotiations.

h) Jon Langford penned two 'tributes' to Von, what are they called?
Johnny the Perfect Son & Skeleton Man

i) What does CNT stand for, and what was that in reference to originally?
Confederacion National de Trabajo, which is the name of of an anarchist worker's collective active in the Spanish Civil War

They announced that they signed in May 1984, and broke away in October 1997

l) according to Eldritch, which organization 'benefited' from the sisters first gig?

m) what email addy would one use to get in touch with the sisters?
Trick question – there isn’t one. You can write to baxville@aol.com, but it will only be ignored

n) where did Vons drum kit come from?
It was stored in his cellar, and belonged to John Langford

o) where does Von allege to write his best songs?
In the bath

p) on what occasion did Eldritch first take his glasses off for the fans?

s) one individual only played live with the sisters once back in 1981 who was he and what did he play (not Jon Langford)
Dave Humphries (second guitar at the Futurama gig)

t) why did Mr Andrew Heartland sell his collection and where did most of it end up?
To raise funds to start up Impress Media, and most of it either ended up in your possession via The Happening. Or maybe in Belgium. I’m clutching at straws here!
