New "Lucretia My Reflection" cover

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

it's got all of the repetition but none of the dynamics of the original

at best it's fairly bog standard ebm circa 2004...

it's pretty turgid :urff:

... not my taste, neither the instrumentation, nor the voice, not to mention the dynamics ... :urff:

however, the interpretation by this voice is the worst of all ... brrr ... :urff: :urff: :urff: ...

Reminds me of No Shuffle more than anything else. At least it's inoffensive (and bonus marks to the singer for not succumbing to Darth Vader syndrome!)

Ummm - does that mean I liked it?

Always ahead!

 ... I think that's what we call "Spielfreude" in German ...

don't know the English term for this, joy of play, perhaps ... or joyful play?

Miserable Lucretia cover, like almost all of those technofied classics. I don't get how people can enjoy stupid repetitive drums and basses without any kind of dynamics. Maybe because it's easier to dance to that kind of music?

That Floorshow one sounds actually pretty good, but still nothing like the original.
