I never tried that. I'm not a Sisters' promotor or something.Rise891 wrote:I've tried to open people up to the sissys but they almost always say "they sound dated"
Even not with girlfriends. I give people who are
interested a listen and burn some stuff if they like.

My younger brother gives them a listen and is open to some of the new songs.
My son dances to Temple Of Love.
My wife detests them. Should never married a woman who doesn't dig The Sisters.

My Dad loves them. My Mum loves Dr Jeep (though she always thought the word meanwhile was meat pie) & my best mate loves Crash & Burn. It'll do for me.

my ex-g didn't liked them, another ex-g wasn't against but didn't fall in love. and i wasn't the reason why they're my ex.

My 15 year old daughter proudly wears her Temple t shirt to High School.......with comments from her friends as "Who?"

one night last summer as I was taking The Mum (88 ) and myself to mass I stuck on FALAA, she said "I haven't heard you play that in a long time", I asked her who it was and she said "Well it's The Sisters Of Mercy, obviously"

hey FUD, you know that your child gonna hate t'Sisters after that ?
Got a kid at work ('round 19 or 20, myself being 28...) listening to them - I only suggested it to begin with because he listens to a lot of similar stuff I do, he saw me wearing Sisters shirts and pins on my jacket and was curious.

I don't have any kids or co-workers who like them so can't add much to this lovely topic, just wanted to say that it's dawned on me for a 100th time how very f* great idea it was to name an all-male band with a female name. Apart from the entire background, I love this gender joke.
It was a great idea. And they made the point at the Hacienda by dressing up, or maybe down, for the occasion.

I always thought it was some kind of "nod" to the New York Dolls
