Someone out there knows this...

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Right.
There's only one place on the planet I'm likely to get help with this, and that place is Heartland...

I'm getting married on June 12th and the prospective Mrs. Gripper sings in a spectacularly good choir, who are due to sing at the wedding. We would both love the choir to sing the choral segment from 'This Corrosion' but they'll only do it if they have sight of the score.

Has anyone got any idea on this one? Can anyone help? I know you lot love a challenge.

C'mon, make an old g*th happy.
Ta.

OK, I don't have the musical score, but just in case you come up empty there's a couple of work arounds that you might consider:

1. Assuming your choir master like a challenge, you may be able to convince him to come up with an arrangement and write it down. If you run the vocals through a half-way decent computer-based mixer you should be able to separate the different harmonies well enough for him to break it out. There may even be a program that will do it for you, something like CakeWalk, but I don't know enough about that sort of thing to point you in the right direction.

2. These people might have a few old copies of the score lying around. If necessary I can go and pick it up for their offices if that helps.

3. This guy did the original arrangement - perhaps he can help out.

All of this assumes, of course, that certain people in these here parts are more closely connected to the people who would be able to provide the very thing you're after

Easy as pie, it just goes "ahhhhh ahhh ahhhhh ahh ah ahhhh".

No, I'm no help. Sorry, but best of luck, it sounds like a cool idea.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

I have the score music if that helps, it is the piano / vocal arrangement that was issued by SBK. Let me know your address and I'll photocopy it if you like (just don't tell the copyright police!)
