Requiem for Detroit BBC2

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Fascinating film by Julian Temple tracing the rise and fall of Detroit.

It will be on iPlayer for those in the UK and it is well worth watching.

It was a rerun, right? I believe I've watched that on the beeb last year and yeah, it was great... it does do justice to the rich musical history the city has!

No, that prog was also shown later in the evening, The Requiem film is more about the history of the city itself, from the start of the automotive industry and influx of workers from the south through to the pre war/post war and current collapse.

Fascinating program, with a great sountrack of Detroit's finest.

They made no mention of Detroits Finest Adult Movies though :von:
