27"s of sheer joy

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

As ye ken I am Mac, allas have been Mac but this new 27" iMac is unbelievable!
The OS is just brilliant but the speed and quality of image has me knocked sideways.
If there is anyone out there thinking of getting a new 'pooter, go Mac and go iMac. Being honest, the 21.5" woulda done me and you'll be overwhelmed by it too but I had some money (at last) and decided to push the boat out.
This is a love affair that started in 1985 (when I got into The Sisters) so I'm not some fly by night.

Get an iMac or a MacBook Pro, you will thank me.

I have never seen you and Steve Jobs in the same room at the same time. Coincidence? I think not!

*Jealous*

We've been doing some work with one of the other companies in our building and they all have shiny 21.5" iMacs. While I'm stuck on this piece-of-sh!t Compaq with Winblows XP, 1GB of RAM and a 40GB HD.

I do some of my work in Linux in a virtual machine and it runs quicker than on the fùcking host machine!

good afternoon, I am James Blast not only am I excellent I am also full of WIN! :D

but I am soon to be full of FAIL! -

I still have my 20" Dell hooked up to the old G4, I really don't feel the need to connect it to the iMac, I had a wee homer to do for a friend the other night and d/l FreeHand to get it done when I opened it I was gobsmacked at the amount of workspace this thing is even bigger than my Sony 24" at work

of course that'll all change when we get our shitty peecees in a few weeks
here's the training we're getting:
1 day split into
morning - using a Window's peecee
afternoon - Adobe CS4

you're talking about a team of 10 people who have only used Macs for at least 15 years and are only versed in CS2

what a fuckin' joke!

Dear Mr. Blast,
We are delighted to hear that you are Full Of Win and that you like your new 27" monitor. However, we'll be coming round later to take it off you in response to your comment about being surprised that it is bigger than your Sony 24". You see, a 27" monitor would be bigger than 24" - in fact, by 3" or a factor of 12.5%.
We will ascribe your surprise to being a habitual Mac user and therefore needing all information to come in a shiny white box. We will replace it with one of these, which we feel you will be more comfortable with.

Thank you.

good afternoon Bastard, you are perfectly correct in your observation, what I meant to type was that the image quality was so much better than the Sony

I've made a complete fool of myself, I can only ask forgiveness and slink off...

@ Barry
aye but I mean half a day on what amounts to an alien OS then another half day on a very complicated suite of programs that have had a major overhaul since two versions back, they're 'avin a laff
